Learn About Donation Donor Registry

Promote Donation

Register as a donor

The first step is to make sure that you are a registered donor, either online or when you renew your license. At any Louisiana OMV, say "YES" when they ask if you want to be an organ donor and get a heart on your license!

Once you’re registered, let your friends and family know and ask them to make the same lifesaving decision.

Outside of Louisiana, donatelife.net can be used to find the donor registry of other states.

Share Your Story

Whether you are sending an email, presenting to your faith group, or having a conversation with someone in line at the grocery store, your personal experience can be the most significant influence in someone’s decision to become a registered donor. Head over to Donate Life America’s VOICES website, and start developing your elevator speech to help tell your personal story, always encouraging people in your circle and those you meet to register in their state donor registry.
